Reliability Assessment Based on Optimal DGs Planning in the Distribution Systems

Due to increased load demands, distribution systems suffer from high power losses, low voltage levels, current, and reliability. To solve these problems, integrate distributed generator units (DG) into the system. DG are among most popular methods of improving system reliability, bus improvement through placement selection in an optimal location size. This work proposed Enhanced Particle Swarm Optimization (EPSO) technology find optimum size reduce improve level, employed Transient Electricity Analyzer (ETAP) evaluate reliability network. ETAP is a programming tool for modeling, analysis, design, optimization, operation, control electrical systems. These findings may be useful conducting assessments correctly utilizing dispersed generation sources future growth by utilities producer companies. The method was on Iraqi (AL-Abasia network (F10 feeder)). After adding three system, theer obtained simulation results showed significant reduction enhancement.
